Hello this is Jin——a Chinese girl and a Kpop fan
Authors . UncategorizedHello, my name is Jin Ouyang. If Jin is hard to pronounce you can just call me Jenny~ There is an interesting thing about my name. Most Chinese family names consist of just one character like wang (王) and li (李) while Ouyang is made of two characters (欧阳). This kind of unusual family names are called as “Compound Surname”(in Chinese复姓) and are more common in ancient times instead of now. Actually most friends would call my surname Ouyang as a nickname.
I come from a small town named Changning in Hunan province, located in the south part of China. Hunan province is famous for its spicy foods like Stinky tofu which is very smelling but tastes very delicious. Besides Hunan TV channel is one of the most popular tv channels in China.
I haven’t decided what to do in the future, but I am interested in some jobs. Like being a foreign correspondent of Chinese media in Korea since I have always been following Korean news and cultures. I think it would be wonderful to try to take part in the mutual communication between China and Korea. Or working in consulting companies to do some research about media although not for academic purpose, because I think it would be nice if I can make use of the research method which I’ve learned in my master while working.
(I tried to learn Korean in my spare time but not enough. I should try harder…)
I come to Munich because I want to experience a different style of life and learn more about European culture. I think it’s always a good thing to experience and try new things when you are young, and of course this kind of experience will help a lot. It’s my second time to be an exchange student (the first one in Hongkong ) but it’s my first time to go abroad.
So in the next 6 months I will try to travel around Europe in my spare time and try to cherish every moment in Munich as much as I can. I’ve been to Italy before the semester began and I love Venice and Florence very much. Next week I will go to France and hope it would be a good trip too~
(A picture taken in Venice. A beautiful city good for taking pictures haha)
Of course I will also try to study hard, because I find all courses I registered are both interesting and useful especially when you want to do some jobs related to journalism and communication in the future. And you can learn how to do your own research through these courses which is not so common in Chinese courses.
