I guess I gravitate toward the mountains?
Authors . UncategorizedI am born in one of the flattest countries in the world, The Netherlands. I grew up in a relatively small village next to Utrecht, a city right in the middle of all the flatness that The Netherlands has to offer. Don’t get me wrong, I like The Netherlands, but there is one minor thing missing, mountains!
My name is Kristian Busker and I love the mountains, especially the Alps. I think I fell in love with the Alps a long time ago when my family decided to go for a wintersport holiday, I was around 10 months old. That’s right, for as long as I can remember I spend atleast one or two weeks a year in the magical mountains of Austria.
One of the first things that I did when I moved here, was climbing the big church on the Marienplatz (I think it’s called the St Peters church) to get a glimpse of the Alps when you look south. I think you understand why I chose Munich for my erasmus adventure now?
Besides my love for the mountains, I have something adventurous inside me. This brought me to this erasmus adventure here in Munich, but it also led me to the Anwärter snowboard instructor course which made me a qualified snowboard instructor. For a couple of months, directly after I graduated as a snowboard instructor, I worked in one of the biggest and most famous ski resorts that Austria has to offer; Saalbach & Hinterglemm. But when the snow started to dissapear I decided that I had to continue studying.
Back in the lovely flat country, I graduated in Event Management and started another study; International Communication & Media. Currently I am in the first semester of my third year and I am having a good time here in Munich. I am making new friends, visiting a lot of parties, making city trips to surrounding cities (Augsburg in the picture below) and occasionally do some studying 😉
