„Fahren Sie gar nicht erst woanders hin, ich sage Ihnen, es geht nichts über München. Alles andere in Deutschland ist Zeitverschwendung.“

City life . Culture . Student life . Travel

Hi 😊 !

My name is Mylaina and I come from France. If you already know my name, it is because I have already studied one semester in Munich! I can just agree Ernest Hemingway and his quotation! Munich is really a city I will remember for a long time!

I studied political sciences in a French-German campus in France two years ago and I wanted to learn Communication this year. The communication field was new for me, but I really enjoyed learning at the LMU. During this academic year, I took more courses that I needed to, but courses that are teached at the Ifkw are really interesting and helpful if you want to do a future carrier in the communication or the advertising field.

I am now 21 and I have the feeling that I have grown a lot since I have been living in Munich. Even if it was hard for me to change my habits and to live in a foreign country in September -especially because I had so much administrative stuff to do !- , I have the feeling that I am fully integrated now and I really don’t want to come back in France for my Master.

Almost all the prejudices I had about Germany and Munich have now disappeared and I really enjoy the life in this city. During my free time, I tried to go to museums (Pinakotheken, BMW Welt, Deutsches Museum, …), cinema, festivals (Tollwood, Frühlingsfest for example) and to meet German friends. I usually go for a hike in the Bavarian mountains almost one time per week.

I have also tried to rise a lot this year. I was in Russia and in Spain on February. I took a plane to Finland on March. I go to London this week and I have already visited many other cities in Germany such as Leipzig, Köln, Frankfurt Am Main, Berlin, Hamburg…

I am really sad to leave Munich in two months, but anyway I know that I will come back soon. So, it won’t be a « goodbye » but just an « Aufwiedersehen »!
