Hey, I’m Eva
AuthorsI’m Eva Spangenberg Montero, 20, from Spain. I grew up in Castelldefels, a little city close to Barcelona. My home city is known for its large and beautiful beach, and also for being full of life but calm and quiet at the same time. I suppose it’s the reason why Messi, Lewandowski, and many other football starts live there. I love my home, but I’ve always been a very open and adventurous person, and this is not my first time abroad from it. I have been living this past two years in Madrid since I’m studying there journalism and audiovisual communication. Even if the big city is not very far away from my family and from everything I had known before, it gave me the independency I so desired when I was younger, and it also taught me how to deal with homesickness, so my arrival in Munich was not hard at all.
My father was born and raised in Germany, more concretely in a small and very beautiful and rural village near Frankfurt, so I have been connected with this country my whole life. Choosing Munich was very easy for me. I love the culture and the people here in Bavaria, plus it’s close to my family here, so I am just a couple trains away from my people and my calm and beloved village here. Now that I have been living in this city for a month, I am completely installed here and am very grateful that I feel so comfortable with everything and everyone. I am looking forward to keeping meeting people and getting to know myself better every day while living here, nothing like a change on environment for that. I have visited the city and some of its surroundings with the people I met here and with my family, and I will continue to do so these months. It is a great opportunity to be here, might as well use it to visit the world besides all the studying.
About myself, I will say that I am really into arts. I get that from my dad. I enjoy music, good books, good movies, and photography, still getting into it though. I love what I’m studying because it combines it all. I believe, besides other important factors, that self-development is one of the purposes in life, and I am beyond happy that I can keep evolving in such a city as Munich.
Looking forward to getting to know you all a little bit better,
Eva
