Munich, I couldn’t wait to meet you!
AuthorsCiao everybody!!
My name is Anna and I come from Treviso, a beautiful city near Venice, in the north-east of Italy.
To be honest, I’d love to say my family is a mixture of different cultures and backgrounds, but the truth is that we’re all Italian and Italy is all I have known for so long in my life.
I must admit, Treviso’s charming canals and streets are stunning, and its youthful atmosphere makes it a wonderful place where to grow up. I loved my childhood there, but as I got older, I started feeling a stronger desire to explore the world and connect with new people and ways of life. I consider myself so lucky, because I grew up in a family who allowed me to travel from a young age and to understand why every corner of the world can be someone’s favourite place.
My first big solo adventure was in Vancouver when I was 17. Two years later I moved to Brixen, in South Tyrol, for university. Those experiences showed me just how fascinating it is to explore different cultures and habits. Moreover, each of these places gave me a home, even when I though I’d never fit in.

Since I’ve been studying German for a few years, I was excited to finally experience life in a new country and learn more about the German language, its people, and its culture. So here I am for my Erasmus semester in Munich!
It’s already been two months since I moved here, but I couldn’t be happier with my decision. At first, I was a bit nervous about finding my way around this city and meeting new people in such a big environment, but Munich’s welcoming vibe and organization made it surprisingly easy to settle in.
I can’t wait to explore the whole city and collect so many new memories!!
