Walking Further, Reading More
Authors . UncategorizedHi, I am 袁超颖 (Yuan Chaoying), and people always call me by my first name ”Chaoying”. I come from China. I was born in a small town with lots of rivers in Jiangsu Province, southeast of China and started a bachelor at Fudan University (FDU) in Shanghai since 2014.
My major is Journalism, I also take communication courses at FDU. I am a postgraduate student and this is my third semester. A few months ago I made a decision to exchange abroad for experiencing different education, meeting with different people and learning different culture and now I am here, in Munich.
It’s a brand new environment for me. There are fewer residents in Germany than in China and supermarkets close on Sundays. Finally I settled down, and have got used to that. German people love flowers, I guess. I can see flowers everywhere, at the balconies, along the streets, on sale in the shops and supermarkets. I also keep a bunch of flowers in my dorm. They are pink and white, and which is amazing for me, they are still alive now.
I am an introverted girl. Sometimes I cannot express well. And to me adapting to a new cultural environment which is totally different from my home country is not easy and I am always afraid of making mistakes. However, people here are always kind and helpful. That is quite a big release.
It’s autumn now. Yellow leaves have fallen down a lot. I love traveling. I am always outside with my classmate when weekends come. I have been to Berlin, Frankfurt in Germany and Salzburg, Bad Ischl, Hallstatt in Austria. I enjoy taking photos of different views. Each time when I arrive at one place, it always occurs to me a sentence in a book, or a scene happened in a movie story. It sounds strange but I do love the feel. I am also fond of standing at the top point of a city or a hill, from where I can have a whole overview of the landscape. The roofs are always charming. Cool wind and hazy mist surround me.
There is a big world waiting for me to explore. What I plan to do is to read more books, walk far away and enjoy more beautiful view. I am looking forward to having a good time here, learning better and living better!
