Hello Munichđș
UncategorizedHello! This is Bingqian Zhan. Iâm from China. âBingâmeans âiceâ and âQianâ means âprettyâ in Chinese. You can also call me Birdy if you find it hard to pronounce my Chinese name. I have a long stay in 3 cities in China, namely Chibi (my hometown, a small city in middle China where Asianâs longest river Yangtze river flows through), Chengdu (the city where I study for my bachelorâs degree, so called âDelicay Paradiseâ. Strongly recommend you to have a tea and hotpot there when you plan your travel in China and you can also see pandas in their southwestern habitat), and the last city Beijing (Super big, quickly tempoed and expensive houses, but still it has beautiful autumns and rich cultural & educational resources).
I am now studying Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University for my master degree. Something special about my home university might be that it has about 20 student canteens which cover delicious dishes at home and abroad. And itâs relatively cheap by the way. There is a gorgeous art museum within the campus which is also open to the public. Visitors could enjoy diversified art collections and one exhibition this year is about German modern design. I love visiting local museums and explore interesting exhibitions when I have time. Looking forward to knowing more about Munich and cities around through art visits and city walk.
Karaoke and badminton are my other hobbies (I also bought myself a guitar with my intern wage but sorry to leave it alone đ It’s always totally different things as for what you wanna do and what you actually take action. But let’s learn German together if you are also a German beginner) . Moreover, I know beer and football are very famous in Munich. I am more than willing to explore them with my friends this semester. Besides study at LMU and travels in Europe, one thing I expect a lot is to have more conversations with people possessing different culture backgrounds and build connections. By the way, I am also preparing for my graduation paper. It’s about relations between International students’ culture identity and social media. Although it’s very immature in current stage, I would be thankful if you have any ideas to share with me and we can see how this research topic will go.
Itâs really my first traveling abroad after âyou know whatâ. Wish I could make some lifetime friends and gain more insights into my major during my stay there. Â Best wishes, me and my friends!
