It’s Vicky : )
Student lifeHey everyone! I’m Vicky😆 I am a Chinese girl who comes from Nanchang City, which is the capital city of Jiangxi Province, located in the southeast of China.
You can call me Xue Yue or Vicky. My Chinese name is Xue Yue. Xue means snow, and Yue is a kind of gem in ancient China. However, in contrast to the quick connection between snow and winter, I am a summer girl in July. The thirst for cool in the boiling summer is the real reason for my name! 🤣
Apart from Xue Yue, I am also called Vicky, especially during my university period. It is because I study at the Lingnan University of Hong Kong, where I know most of my friends on international platforms. Since then, Vicky has almost become my priority name in every introduction part. And I am also very glad to obtain a more international identity through a name.
< One fun fact about my family is its diverse composition >
My family members come from five provinces of China, and my cousin became a naturalized German citizen when I was a child. As for me, nourished in a multicultural background and regarding my cousin as a role model all the time, I am very curious about what Germany really looks like. Why my dear cousin loves Germany so much? What’s the attraction, indeed? With a series of queries, I choose Munich. I’m coming to pursue the answer I want, as well as to establish my own experience in Germany.
During my semester abroad, I hope I can broaden my horizon and immerse myself in German culture. Before the new semester, I traveled to Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, and France. As shown in the photos, I chased Northern Lights in Tromso, visited fabulous buildings of Sintra of Portugal, and drew a picture of an ancient Greek sculpture in the Norway National Museum. From natural attractions to human landscapes, I established a basic understanding of Europe as well as feel intoxicated by this lovely territory. While in the following three months, I’d like to join more activities in Germany in order to deeply experience the local culture and practice.
There is no need to mention that Germany is the country of poets and thinkers: Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche… I don’t need to think for a second about their profound philosophy; Bach, Beethoven, and Strauss… as for a girl who has played the piano since 6, words cannot express my appreciation for them! Last but not least, I am so lucky to exchange at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), which is one of the top universities in the world. What I can only complain about is why I only have one-semester exchange time! Why is the semester in Germany so short? I cannot give up any chance to experience this amazing country!
In the end, my dear viewers, thanks so much for your time!
If you find any meaningful or interesting activities and want a companion, please dm me without any hesitation! I’m always happy to join any activities and glad to connect with you guys❤️
Again, it’s Vicky~ Nice to meet you all : )
