Ibiza to Munich: An Erasmus Journey
AuthorsHello everyone! My name is Adriana, but feel free to call me Adri. I am from the beautiful island of Ibiza in Spain, though I currently study in Madrid, where I am pursuing a double degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication. This semester, however, I wanted to explore something new, so I am in Munich as an Erasmus student.
I chose Munich for my exchange semester because I have always wanted to study abroad and challenge myself by immersing in a different culture and language. Learning German is one of my main goals because I started studying it in school, along with improving my English. I figured there is no better way to learn German than to live in Germany itself. Munich’s international environment also makes it a perfect place to connect with people from all over the world, which is one of the experiences I am most excited about.
Academically, I am looking forward to exploring the world of journalism and media from a German perspective. I want to see how news and media are produced in a country known for its precision and high standards in journalism. I am hoping this insight will broaden my perspective on media in general and help me in my future career.
Apart from studying, I am eager to travel around Europe. Living in central Europe is a fantastic opportunity to visit nearby countries and cities that I would love to see. So far, I have trips planned to Italy and Kraków with fellow Erasmus students, and I am looking forward to adding more destinations to my list over the next few months.
