Munich, here I am !

Bonjour à tous,

My name is Liam, I come from France. I grew up around Paris, in a small town of fewer than 800 inhabitants.

Over the years, I’ve studied in a few French cities, such as Versailles and Lyon, discovering new environments each time. Even though those destinations were not entirely imposed, they were largely guided by selection processes that left me little room to follow my personal preferences. Thus, when I had to choose a destination for my first professional experience, I decided on a six-month internship in Martinique, a Caribbean island to which I have family ties. Going on Erasmus also felt like a way to design my own path. Choosing Munich was part of that decision because I wanted to immerse myself in a fully English-speaking environment at the heart of Europe, with the opportunity to explore several cities.

The past four years have taught me a lot about myself and helped me define the direction I feel comfortable pursuing for the next years ahead. When I joined a business school, I had the chance to discover a wide range of subjects that eventually drew me to the media sector. My profile now sits at the crossroads of business administration and media, which is also why I’m enrolled in both departments at LMU.

Now in my second year of my master’s, I have my eyes oriented towards the job market and my future professional path. The months I’ll spend here mark the final stage of my academic journey, which makes me quite emotional, but I still want to challenge myself academically and deepen my understanding of the media sector. Since working-student positions are quite common here, I’d be eager to take one, and perhaps even extend my stay in Munich.

For the fun part, I’m really looking forward to discovering unique places in Munich, exploring its clubs, bars, and art exhibitions, meeting different kinds of people, and engaging in fulfilling friendships !
