My name is Ignacia Palma, and I am an exchange student from Chile. It had always been my dream to do an exchange to Germany because I was for 14 years in a German School and they taught us so much about germanys culture and It has always seem interesting to me.
I am the eldest of four siblings, in my house we have 3 dogs, their names are, León, Polo and Kymbo, and we love them so much.
My sisters names are Catalina, she is 21, Magdalena she is 18 and Elisa she is 14. I love all of my sisters equally. And we really get along. My mothers name is a Carolina and she is super nice and supportive. My fathers name is Alejandro and he is super funny and amazing.
My experiences in LMU so far have been good, the only thing that has been a bit difficult for me has been organizing myself, In chile it is so diferentent the university, we don’t have to register for exams, and that has been here a bit confusing for me. I am usually a very organized person but here in the exchange because of the language and not understanding how everything works it has been a bit complicated. I am truly trying my best. Another difficulties has been getting sick, I am always in chile getting sick but there is always my mother willing to help me, in here I have to do that for my self and that has been a really big challenge.
My hopes for this semester is learning a lot, meeting new people and learning the culture of Germany, I hope I can get the best memories from this experience and I will be forever grateful that I could do this exchange.
My interest are usually about meeting new people, challenging myself, learning about myself and what I like and don’t like and I think this exchange has taught me a lot about that. I also love running, hanging out with friends, cooking for my family, reading books, studying and learning new things.
