Sandales, Chaussettes et Bières en cannettes ….
Authors . City life . Culture . Student life . Travel . Uncategorized…. These prejudices are in general the first ones we have in mind in France when we are talking about Germany and I have to admit that there are not totally wrong…. Especially after having taking part eight times to the Oktoberfest!
A few words about me…
I’m Mylaina, twenty years old, and I am totally crazy about discovering new cultures and ways of life. I come from the North-East of France. You know, this region where we drink a lot of Champagne but where we find biers really undrinkable 😛 ! I really would like to tell you that even if I am French I don’t eat snails for dessert and frogs everyday. I don’t know how many times German people asked me about that since I’ve been living in Munich but it is really funny to see how far theses prejudices are increased in people’s mind.
It’s not the first time I came in Germany but it’s the first time I lived in Munich. I will stay here for one year and I will study communication sciences, anthropology and as I really enjoy to learn foreign languages I have also decided to learn Russian but my main aim is to be totally fluent in German before the end of July. I’m crazy about the art and I can’t deny the fact that there is everything to satisfy my desires here. BMW Museum, Residenz, Haus der Kunst, Alte und Neue Pinakothek : already seen! I am still looking for a next exhibition! So if you have any ideas don’t hesitate to inform me! I find the life here really enjoyable and I can just approve Johann Heinrich Jung-Stilling’s sentence : “Die beiden schönsten Dinge sind wirklich die Heimat, aus der wir stammen, und die Heimat, nach der wir wandern”.
