Chasing colors

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always had a very strong connection with nature, I’ve always loved the outside, the landscapes, the parks, the animals and the colors. My mother graduated as a vet so I had the chance to surround myself with all kinds of animals growing up. She taught me how to behave with the animals she worked with and she taught me how to treat them with respect and love. Also because of her work we had to travel a lot, we would live sometimes in the city, sometimes in small towns and even in the countryside, and to be really honest, I always felt happier when I was surrounded by trees rather than buildings. I have always been the one that prefers to go to a natural park or just stare at a tree for a long time than do anything else.
I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to travel a lot through my country, and not to brag but my country is amazing, it has beautiful cities and incredible landscapes, it has everything you can imagine. When I was growing up I lived in different regions of the country, with hot and cold weathers. For example, I lived in La Guajira, a paradise with really hot weather, It has beautiful deserts nearby and the sea of Cabo de la Vela is something I will never forget, I was able to celebrate a birthday there. I’ve lived among mountains, seas, rivers and much more, and now that i think about it, I never felt so lucky.
This love for nature goes much beyond a simple appreciation, I almost studied biology in the university instead of journalism, choosing this career was difficult but in the future I hope I can find a way to connect everything I’m passionate about.
Besides having been able to travel a lot through my country and know different ecosystems and hundreds of parks, I decided to chase a dream that I had for a long time, visit the Iguazu Falls, which are between Brazil and Argentina. On my trip through Argentina and Brazil, walking between the falls was one of the most impressive experiences of my life, the sound of water crashing on the rocks, the magnitude of the falls and the ecosystem they were in was too captivating.
It is the dream of every lover of the colors, of water and trees. I think that since I discovered my love for nature, my life is a constant love letter to the colors that have captivated me every time I travel to a place. Green is my favorite color, and it is green in all its shades, a wonderful bright green of summer gardens or a powerful, dark, intimidating green like the ones from those old trees hidden in the woods.
Every time I plan a trip I think of the places that I will see and the colors that I will be able to appreciate in the different landscapes. In my country we have no seasons so I had never met “the snow”, and that was something that had me super excited about coming to Germany during winter. It was the perfect opportunity to expand that natural panorama I had in my mind. A few days ago I admired for the first time the color of the snow, that bright and imposing white that arrives after marvelous times of light orange colors and yellows full of life. Munich has made me too happy with its parks, its environments, its trees and its small plants have shown me combinations of colors that I had never seen.I will never tire of saying that I am too lucky for what I have lived and for what I have seen.
In Colombia, the last place I lived in was Bogota, the capital city. A much larger city and with a lot of people, where the landscape is not very green and although we are surrounded by mountains the city is gray.
But the good thing is, I have a good place to escape on the weekends. We have a small house in a nearby town that is surrounded by mountains, is beautiful, is small and colorful. I also had the opportunity to live in that house at a time in my life and that is why it has a very special place in my heart, because it is my deepest connection with nature, one of the places where everything began.
I am an adventurer of colors, I am a lover of landscapes and with my actions and the way in which I behave with nature, I send you those messages of love to everything that i touch and see. I fall in love with everything I see every day and I’m dying to know the whole world, I’m dying to travel and see much more. and have much more respect for the imposing nature. My next dream is to go to Australia, to explore the most famous barrier reef in the world, my love for the oceans is something I can not explain, when I am in the water I am just happy and in complete peace, I have enormous respect for the water and the sea life. I can not wait to continue traveling and exploring, I can not wait to continue falling in love, every day that passes is an opportunity to learn and admire.
