Let’s face it: During the morning I planned to go for a walk in the famous “Englisher Garten”. I remembered having been very astonished by this huge green place you can find in the center of Munich. With an area of 3.7 km2, I was far away from thinking that the Englischer Garten was one of world’s largest urban public parks. As it was still summer, many people were there, sitting on the grass, drinking a beer in a so called “Beergarten”. I found the atmosphere really nice, and what I liked the most was definitely the huge diversity of trees you could find there. There were also these bikes you know. Some funny ones with flowers hanged on the handlebar, some too small for their driver, some so old that could also be sell in an antique store, …
When I wanted to lay down on the grass to take a nap many things happened at the same time: I could not only smell the flagrance of cut grass, but also hear a really weird noise. The noise of dozens of ducks, which were eating the grass closed to me. When I opened my eyes, I could also see how beautiful the color of the tree leaves was. It was a mixture of green and orange and the atmosphere created by such colors was like these we can find in some Gustave Courbet’s paintings. Nevertheless, what could have never been painted by Courbet was this strange man staying in front of me. He was lying on the ground, like me, but without wearing any underwear. He was relaxing and chatting we some friends a beer in hand and in his birthday suit! That was really funny but quite uncomfortable for me too! Children were encompassing him while playing football, but anyone was disturbed by this curious scene. I never thought German people would be so closed to nature!
