Hallo!
Authors . CultureMy name is Soyoung and I am from South Korea. I was born and raised in Seoul but after I graduated from high school I moved to the UK to study English. It was my first time coming to Europe (back then the UK was still in the European Union;) and everything was so cool in London. However, after a few months later I got used to it and I started complaining about how expensive it was and the weather. Then in 2018, I moved to the Netherlands and started studying Creative Business in Utrecht. Utrecht is very different from the cities I used to live in because it’s very small. I liked the fact that I can easily go everywhere by bike. However, I kinda missed the vibe of the big cities and when I got used to living in Utrecht, I started complaining about the weather, the weather and the weather. A few weeks ago, I moved to Germany and now I kinda miss the Netherlands. I realised how pretty the buildings and canals are in the Netherlands and that it is very convenient that supermarkets are open on Sunday. So, my point is that I think I will never be satisfied with the city I am living in until I leave.
Right after Covid 19 outbreak started, I went back to Korea and stayed there for one and a half years. I almost forgot Europe and so I went back to the Netherlands before I came to Germany. It was kind of a holiday for me for three weeks. I visited a lot of cities across the Netherlands, brought my camera everywhere I go like a tourist and visited a lot of museums. In those three weeks, I explored the Netherlands more than I did when I was living there for two years. You know if you have more time you will get more lazy and you will just keep delaying. Now I have only four months left here in Munich so I have to get out of my bed and go to museums, take pictures, visit opera houses, hike the mountains, and enjoy my time here! I look forward to exploring Munich with you guys!
