Self Introduction- Daniela

Hello everyone! My name is Daniela. I Study in the Netherlands but I am originally from Cali, Colombia. My friends and family call me Dani, but in school, my friends also called me “Cord”.

Cali, my hometown, is always warm and sunny. We don’t have seasons, only rain and tropical storms every now and then, but the temperature never drops below 25 degrees celsius which is something I really miss. My mother language is Spanish, but I also learned English from a very young age.

My home University is located in a Dutch city called Utrecht. I love it there. I have been living in the Netherlands for the past 3 years, and it already feels like home. I am also learning Dutch but it has been very challenging. I study Creative Business and currently, I am doing my minor abroad in the Media and Communications Department at the LMU.

I chose Munich because I think this is a beautiful city with a lot to offer. Art, nightlife, nature, history, international setting, great education, etc. I had been here once before during last summer and I fell in love with it so I really wanted to experience it as a student.

My expectations for this semester abroad are to expand my knowledge in the field of communication, which is something I am really interested in. Moreover, I expect to enjoy this opportunity as much as possible and make great memories. I am excited to meet more people from all around the world and see the beautiful places in and near Munich. I love swimming so I hope I can visit as many lakes as possible during the summer and hopefully have some nice road trips with friends.
