Self Introduction: Jiwon
UncategorizedHello! I am Jiwon Baek and I come from Korea.
I’m in my third year studying dentistry in Seoul national university. My home university has a huge campus and unlike here where buildings are scattered in the city, all the buildings are in the campus. Our university is on a mountain, so it’s quite tough to walk around.
Back in Korea I live in Seoul, the capital city. More specifically I live in Jamsil where there is the highest tower in Korea and many fun attractions. If you guys have any plans to come to Korea later I’d love to show you around!
I chose Munich because there seemed to be lots to do inside the city, and it’s also easy to travel to nearby countries. Since it’s hard to travel to Europe from Asia, I wanted to travel to as many places while staying here. In April, I traveled to UK, Italy and Greece and had a great time. From May I’m planning to go to many other places in Germany! I came here in the beginning of March, and I think Munich is a perfect place to live in, especially for students. When I have time I go to Marienplatz or Olympia einkaufzentrum to do some shopping. There are many nice places to take a walk such as Olympiapark, English garden or Nymphenburg palace.
I’m staying here for one semester so I’m already sad that there are only 3 months left. On every weekends I plan to go on a short trips. Some places on my list are Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden, Koln, Frankfurt and many other. I also have two small goals while staying here. First is to exercise regularly. From last week I started taking tennis/basketball/dance courses in ZHS, so I’ll go out to exercise at least 3 days a week. And second is to get better at cooking! In Korea I lived with my family so I didn’t really cook. But here since I have to cook I’m trying to make many Korean dishes which I found is quite fun.
I’m looking forward to making new friends in this course!
