Not a goodbye yet
UncategorizedIt is crazy to think that the first semester of my study abroad is coming to an end. It feels like yesterday, that I arrived in Munich, confused and questioning my entire decision. I was scared I could never call Munich my “home”, but now I am more scared of having to leave. Thankfully, I have another semester to go so I don’t have to have it all exactly figured out yet. In my first post, I talked about wanting to travel, improve my German, and form relationships with people from around the world. As far as my German goes, I have made a lot of progress! Looking back, I have no idea how I got by the first month, but looking forward, I am excited to continue to improve. I have done a lot of traveling too! I have gone to Salzburg, Königsee, Innsbruck, smaller cities in Germany, Slovenia, Mallorca, and more! I am going to attach a few pictures to the end of my post! I do have big plans to continue traveling and exploring other parts of Europe during the break and the next semester! Overall, I think the coolest part about traveling is seeing how people live. Coming from America, I was not used to the idea of a European lifestyle. At any time of the day, you will truly see people just sitting at a café by themselves, enjoying a coffee. As far as friendships go, I have made a lot of great friends here! I appreciate the sense of home and love they make me feel whenever I am around them. I think my favorite memories so far have been the ones when we went to the English Garden or someone’s house and talked for hours and hours. Speaking of the English Garden, I do really miss the nice weather!! I loved going and sitting outside for long afternoons or going on walks without needing to wear 2 or 3 layers of clothing! I am very much looking forward to the weather getting warmer and being able to enjoy all of these things again! With all of this being said, I want to thank everyone for reading my posts! I loved this class and all the memories I made from it! This is not a goodbye yet!
