Not all goodbyes are an end
Authors . City life . Culture . Society . Student life . TravelUnfortunately, my Erasmus program is almost at the end and if I could, I would have gone back to the start. It last 6 months but, in my head, they were just few days.
I had made amazing friends and had a great time living in a new, big, and exciting city. And now I am upset to leave this new home behind.
My experience in Munich opened my eyes to a new lifestyle and new possibilities. I explored the city, visited landmarks, and tried new foods. I had conversations with people from all over the world and got in touch with so different nationalities.
I was able to experience the culture, the architecture, and the history of the city. Munich was a great place to study, and I am grateful for the memories that I made there.
Living in Munich also gave me the opportunity to improve the German language, for instance I was able to attend language courses, practice with locals, and experience the language firsthand. That was my first objective, but I have to say that I did much more than I expected.
In addition to that, my classes at the LMU helped me to gain knowledge and skills in my chosen field that I could take with me when I left. I was able to participate in research projects and have unique experiences that helped me to grow as a student. In fact, I will probably come for an internship during the summer because I loved this clean, safe, well connected, international but also traditional city.
Now I have to go back in Italy to catch up some last lectures and projects. I will see again my friends after so many months and that´s make me feel better. I am curious to come back home and see how I will feel in that small town now…Though I am sad to leave, I know that my time in Munich was an incredible experience that I will never forget. I am grateful for the time I spent in the city, for the people I met, for this blog where I could express my feelings, ideas, thoughts about a wide variety of themes and I´m also glad for the knowledge and skills that I gained…they will stay with me for the rest of my life.
