Never say goodbye
UncategorizedTime flies. Forgive me to start with so boring words. I reviewed my very first self introduction blog and recalled the day when I wrote the post. At that time, I was still in Tsinghua library, over 7000 km away from Munich, anxiously waiting for my day to see all these lovely friends and teachers at LMU who had already impressed me and helped me a lot even through online communication.
Lucky for me that it has been sunny days ever since I arrived in Munich in the middle of May. Except for the first two days, I still remembered the day when me and Eva finished our brunch and got hit by a sudden heavy rain. But even that experience is not all bad for me because I received very warm welcome as a freshman here and you may not say you know Munich very well if you haven’t seen its gloomy days hhhh.
After the first week to get accustomed and buy stuff I need here, I begin my exploration. City walk in Munich, attend classes and music festivals with other exchange students, travel in near countries with new friends, have exchange discussions with LMU students and so on. All these things make me feel more belong to this strange place. Eva, Sofie, Do young, Haruka, Jojo, Buffy, Vicky, Fiona, Min, Mohamed and other students I may not have much conversation withy. Hope we can meet again and remember the days we spent together.
Also appreciate the encountering with Miriam, Julia, my roommates Cansu&Severa, and LMU students in the Chinese class. All these people and bond built through sharing and caring diversified my exchange study in a meaningful way. I see young people at my age living different lifestyles and on their way following a clear call or just shared confusion. Besides, I also see older people and people on wheelchairs continuing their travels along the way to nature or unknown things. This inpires me a lot and I wish I can carry such positive energy even I leave here temporarily.
Munich is different in many ways compared with Beijing where my home university located. More international, more bikes, more bio(normal in the whole Germany I know), more beer&sausages of course. Truthfully feel glad to know this city deeper through this exchange experience and also sincerely expect more friends come to China and know it a bit more in person.
I bet you will be surprised by how different it is from what you usually think and what you know only from the news. Maybe different in bad ways but also very possible to be different in good ways. I always believe in that through walking and talking we break the stereotypes we have in our mind. Feel free to reach out if you need a guide (ins: bingqianzhan)!
Dear friends, nice to meet you all and hope our Yuanfen (缘分)will continue in the future. And really thankful for all the warmness and inspiration I received from this journey. I will definitely value them a lot.
