The hardest post I ever write

What should I write in my farewell post?
Honestly, I’m really at a loss when I encounter this question.
Looking back to the time when I apply for the exchange, it’s already been two years ago. If I could go back to talk with that hesitant and perplexed girl, I would tell her with a determined look, ‘Please do it ASAP! You will never regret exchanging at LMU! You will love Munich!’. But for now, when I will finish my exchange journey soon, what perplexes me is, ‘How can I express my harvest in Munich with one post? How can I express my love to Munich?’…
In the past four months, I have been to the areas around Munich (e.g.: Schloss Neuschwanstein, Königssee, Nürnberg, etc.), and participated in diverse activities in Munich (e.g.: ISN international party, music concert, singing in a karaoke bar, etc.). As for academics, I finished an amazing group project with international classmates, and also did personal work exploring a new academic domain. When it comes to my life, I independently live abroad my own, successfully handling a lot of difficulties and inadaptation. In each part of my exchange life, I could talk for a full day to elaborate! But considering the harsh task requirement and my dear readers, I’m writing to share with you my most sincere two suggestions!
First of all, my dear friend, if you also love music, and appreciate the multicultural experience, please list visiting Munich in your to-do list. As I said in my first post, Germany is a place where many musicians are born, for example, Beethoven. The music attaches the unique soul to this city. You would have a lot of channels to reach music in Munich, the official website of Bavarian State Opera, the free chance to listen to the music in the graduation performance from art students, the promotion message about the music festival on social media, or even the occasional meet on the street! There are always a few performers playing musical instruments near Marienplaz. Apart from that, I even came across a mobile music festival near Münchner Freiheit when I was on the way to buy McDonald’s! Whenever I meet music as planned or occasionally, I feel my soul freely breathe and expand.
You don’t need to worry about the music type. No matter the concert, music festival, or party, hundreds of choices are waiting for your pick! What you only need to do is pay attention to the information board, and then get what you want! As for me, I enjoy dancing in the party with techno music and attending the concert of classical music, which are all super famous in Germany. I strongly recommend you have a try!
My second suggestion is, please follow your heart, and do what you most want to do! When my exchange journey comes to an end, I cannot stop keeping complaining about why it seems I have experienced a lot, but also I have even more things I didn’t experience. However, after thinking, I feel released immediately. It is impossible to explore any city or country in all aspects within four months. Moreover, the energy of a person is limited. Pity is destinated for people who just live in Munich for a certain period. Therefore, the only thing we can do is understand what you pursue and firmly execute your decision. In my exchange time, I always reject the invitation that I don’t really want to go to, and sometimes join some activities alone when my other friends are not interested.
My dear friends, please never be afraid to do so! I can tell you from my experience, that you are likely to make new friends in new activity and get a unique friendship in that situations! The multicultural and inclusive society of Munich gives you many invisible opportunities to meet new friends! Please be open and enthusiastic to everyone! Please never be too shy to talk!
In addition to sharing my genuine suggestions, I would like to say ‘Thank you’ to Munich! This vibrant city provides me with one of the most meaningful and significant memories in my life as a gift, which also makes me become a more mature and excellent person for my future life!
I love you Munich! I’ll come back in the future!!!
P.S.: I’m really sorry I’m over the deadline a little bit due to the technical difficulty. It’s really the hardest post I ever write!
