Greetings from Yulu-Nice to meet you all!
UncategorizedHi,I’m Yulu Jiang from China, you can also call me my English name Mia.It’s my seventh semester in my home university and I choose to come to LMU for an exchange semester.
My hometown is Shaoxing,a beautiful and peaceful city in the Zhejiang Province(southeast part of China),and I’m also familiar with Hangzhou since my home university is Zhejiang University and I’ve lived in Hangzhou for three years,I love its picturesque lakes and mountains, the local customs and culture, the delicious cuisine (even though some people might not be used to it), and the limitless possibilities brought by its rapid development.
I grow up in a sweet family and I have a brother 14 years younger than me(yes he just get into the primary school),my parents always support everything I want to do.My mbti is ENFJ,which means I’m a really outgoing girl, ready to meet new friends and try new things. From my second year of university, I always wanted to go abroad for an exchange semester to gain new life experiences and perspectives. That’s why I’m here:this has been my long-term plan and a dream come true.
Among lots of universities for exchange,I choose Munich and LMU without hesitation.I love Bayern Munich for a long time, love the exciting games, the way they understand football, and the spirit MIA SAN MIA,the whole team truly inspire me a lot. (luckily I have watched a game alive and visited their museum since I arrived Munich, unfogettable experience for me)
What’s more,I want to further my study of the German language, gain an understanding of Germany’s history and its approach to remembering the past, make friends from different cultural backgrounds, and safely fulfill my dream of traveling around Europe. Munich seems to be the best choice to realize these aspirations, especially considering the renowned reputation of the ifkw, which has always been my aspiration.
In the next three months, I hope to successfully complete my courses and explore Munich’s parks, bookstores, and beautiful sights with my friends during our free time. I aim to engage in more physical activities, cultivate my hobbies, improve my culinary skills, and fill my life with happiness. Of course, traveling is also on my agenda. I’ve already planned to visit Berlin, Prague, and Hamburg in November, but I’m still contemplating the best place to experience Christmas and enjoy my holiday. (I am just concerned that businesses may also close during the Christmas break, so if anyone has any good suggestions, please contact me haha.)
I already knew this exchange student blog and had read some articles while I was in China. I was just deeply touched by the joy and happiness conveyed through everyone’s words. After spending nearly a month in Munich, I found myself adopting a more relaxed pace of life and experiencing a fuller heart. Let me conclude this article with the blessing from the tour guide at Dachau concentration camp that I visited, “wish you always happy in your lifetime and do some beautiful things in Munich”,I will try.
