Hello again dear readers!
Authors . Student lifeIt is nice to say hello again here! I am Ayano, a Japanese exchange student who has been here for almost seven months.
Now I have only three months left in Munich — it is short but I believe it is long enough to accomplish my goals. Here, I would like to introduce what I have done in the last seven months and what I want to do in the coming three months so that you will know what I put emphasis on in my exchange life, what kind of person I am, and what the LMU exchange can offer students.
#traveling
Actually, I am writing this blog on my way back from Amsterdam!
I love travelling—or maybe Munich made me love travelling—and that is one reason why I chose Munich for my exchange.
As Japan is an island country, travelling seems expensive for me. However, Munich is a low-cost travel destination around Europe! I thought it was cool that I could briefly experience the cultures of several countries/cities during my exchange.
Last semester, I travelled a lot in Germany. All the cities have similar perspectives to Munich and totally different perspectives from Munich.
This semester, I would like to travel abroad a lot. Now, I have a long list of countries I want to visit.
#English
One of the biggest reasons I decided to apply for an exchange program was that I wanted to improve my English. As you might know, people in Munich speak very good English.
My goal for this semester is to improve my reading and writing skills. I would like to use my courses here and work hard on reading assignments, papers, and blog posts.
I also hope to be a better communicator in English at the end of this semester. My first semester helped me a lot, and I learned how to make a conversation smooth and fun. Now, I want to be a person who can entertain everyone through conversation and connect with people. Luckily, I have many friends who can be role models for me. I just want to learn some tips from them.
Anyway, I’m excited to have another three months here in Munich! I’ll work hard to accomplish these goals.
