I’m back !
Authors . Student life . TravelAfter a month at home between the two semesters, I’m back in Munich! As I already followed this class last semester, this post will be more like an update than an introduction. If you want the full presentation and a little background, I redirect you to my first post. But for the lazy ones: I’m Julie, a 21-year-old French student born in Brittany who lives in its rival region, Normandy. In my personal opinion only, Brittany is more beautiful and has better traditional dishes, but it stays between us.
I’m currently in the last semester of my Bachelor’s, and after my first experience abroad, I’m already thinking of going on Erasmus again during my Master’s, but I will see that in due time.
I didn’t know that I would make such valuable friendships in Erasmus, but I’m glad to say that I already had the chance to visit my friends in their hometowns before the beginning of classes, respectively, in a small village in the Dolomites and in Venice. I hope we’ll be able to continue our tour to visit all of each other’s places.
Concerning my progress in German which was derisory, I’m determined to do better this semester. I just took a job in a bakery near the university (the last semester ruined me) so I’ll definitely make some progress.
I don’t want to give particular recommendations, not because I want to gatekeep my favourite spots (maybe a little), but because it’s way more fun to discover your soon favourite places by yourself !
Last semester was very enriching, so I can’t wait to see how this one turns out! I’m planning to do things I haven’t taken the time to do yet: visiting a few more museums, going to Neuschwanstein Castle and spending a day in Salzburg (if Deutsche Bahn is not on strike this time). I also look forward to enjoying the city during spring and summer, particularly the Olympiapark and walking around Olydorf to admire the colorful bungalows of the lucky students living there. The snow was a lot of fun but the cold and rainy days weren’t.
