“The journey is never over”
Authors . UncategorizedLiving in Munich has been a life-changing experience, just as I excepted. I come from a country known by its connection with the ocean due to the maritime expansion in the past. I believe that this deeply bond with the ocean is present in every Portuguese citizen. It’s our essence.
On the other hand, I also believe that our essence is made of the reality of human experience. All of us are made of experience. As I see it, experiences and the places where they happen are what make our own identity. And now Munich is a part of my identity, because I have lived so many remarkable experiences here, and I am certain that a lot more are waiting for me. My first impression of Munich was amazing: the country is very green and clean, people are friendly and polite and, of course, the beer is the best in the world. After two months living here, I am sure that I couldn’t have chosen a better place to study Foreign Languages.
In spite of the fact that I will be only living here for six months, this city feels like home to me and I definitely hope to come back one day.
Our life is a journey. And as a well-known Portuguese writer, José Saramago, has said once: “The journey is never over.Only travelers come to an end. But even then, they can prolong their voyage in their memories, in recollections, in stories.”
In short, I hope I can get the most out of this valuable experience and create as many memories and stories as I can.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post. Viele Gruβe,
Margarida, but not like the pizza!
