Goodbye Munich
UncategorizedIt’s been almost 4 months since I lived here as an exchange student in Munich and I can’t believe that I have to go back home in about 2 weeks. It’s such a great experience spending my life here with my three besties from Thailand. Before coming here, I was really nervous and worry questioning myself that can I live here by myself in the place where the culture, food, and language are totally different. It’s actually a bit hard for me at the beginning as I still not used to Munich, I missed my family, dog, and Thai food so much at that time. However, everything got better after 1 month and I found out that I really enjoy Munich as it is such a lovely, nice, safe, and comfortable city for me.
I got a chance to go to Frühlingsfest with my Thai friends and LMU buddies which is very fascinating and fun for me. I think it was my first time since Covid19 emergence to go to such a huge festival like this. Unfortunately, I only took one ride there because there were so much people and the line for each ride was very long. However, I still had so much fun chit chat with many people and enjoy the food and beer there.
I also celebrated my friend’s 21st birthday (which is Jenna) at the English Garden. We sat there enjoying the good vibes and beer. Praewah, New, and I decided to buy her a cute cupcake and a flower to surprise her at the garden even though the cream on the cupcake were melted because of the hot weather. We also had our dinner at a steak restaurant which taste really good that I will visit the restaurant again for sure before I am going back. It is one of the most memorable day for me.
Being an exchange student here give me a lot of good experience and allow me to know many good people here. I am so happy that I can go to university because online learning for 2 years due to covid19 lessen my motivation and fun in learning. Living here, I can do what ever I want as the regulation is not strict as in Thailand. I do not have to wear mask outside which is great although I just caught Covid a week ago but I am fine for now.
As for now, even I had a chance to travel to many places with my friends but I think it is not enough as there are a lot of places or city I want to visit in Germany. I am a bit regret that I did not have a chance to explore Munich that much.
I think I fall in love with this city and it is a right decision that I chose to do my exchange here. I believe this is not my last time here because I will comeback visiting Munich again for sure even it is just for vacation not as an exchange student anymore 🙂
