Good bye is just another way of saying hello

Authors . Culture . Night life . Student life

Hi to whoever is taking time to read this, Off to an awkward end! What better way to write my farewell post by paying homage to my introduction post!  Which I think resonates with how I am and to the growth I had as a person.  I am filled with a sense of gratitude and awe. When I first decided to move to France from the UAE on a whim, I had no idea of the incredible journey that awaited me and that I would even consider taking part of another exchange / transfer experience. But in hindsight, it was the best decision I ever made. Moving to Munich has opened up endless opportunities for growth and self-discovery, and has helped me to become the person I am today.

Being in Munich, made me accustomed to meeting people left and right, not only is it such a culturally diverse environment, but its homelike and welcoming. with people from all walks of life coming together in a warm and welcoming environment. I have never felt more accepted and free to be myself, and this lack of judgement has allowed me to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. Communications isn’t a field I have been properly exposed to prior my time in munich as I am a sociology student back in France but as well the french educational system leaves little room for exploration and self expression and the fact that this course and exchange was just a series of events that helped me get to know myself a little better by writing a blog post, site seeing or  going out with the new friends I made in my time in Munich.

Christmas Market in Marienplatz

In regards to whether I feel like I made a good choice choosing Munich, I can say with confidence that I definitely did. The city has a unique and undeniable energy / vibe that it radiates that you can’t even describe, and unless you live it.Many of my peers have even decided to fully move here after their studies, in my case this seems less feasible considering my attachment to my family and home that I was once dependant on but post my time here I feel like I was able to get a glimpse of what I am capable of independently and for that Munich, You have my heart <3
