Unforgettable and irremovable memories in Munich
UncategorizedIn the blink of an eye, it is time to say goodbye to all the unforgettable and irremovable memories I have made here in Munich. 👁️👁️
During my arrival in Munich in October, I was a girl not expecting too much about what would happen during my exchange semester and just worrying about unpacking my huge suitcases. Being in Europe for the first time, living away from my parents for the first time, and literally having no friends here was not a good beginning to my exchange life. Although it sounds negative, this month has made me very independent and adventurous, where I would willingly step out of my comfort zone. I would go to a concert, cook, and dine out by myself, and I learned how to enjoy spending time alone. Yet, of course, I needed more than that. A companion, a friend, someone I can talk to, go through and overcome any struggles with, and have fun with.
Luckily, I met five lovely friends who accompanied me throughout my journey in Munich. I still remember the first day we met – the girl who I sat next to, the red-haired girl, the girl with shades, the girl with cool tattoos, the boy who was late and sat in the back row, but I cannot remember how we became close together; it just happened! Thank you for letting me become able to distinguish Italians and French, taste authentic Italian cuisine only, fall in love with Radler, know the Danish birthday culture, experience a techno club, learn not to be punctual and collect the weirdest stickers in WhatsApp. All the small and big laughter we had together will forever be cherished, and I am so grateful to bring these memories back with me. Thank you for filling up my exchange life with crazy, charming, and lively energy, and I will miss you all dearly.. 🫂 It is challenging for me to say “see you” as I will be returning to my hometown back in Asia, where Italy, France, and Denmark, and even Germany will be very distant. But with a glimpse of hope, I believe we will see each other in the future and reminisce about the time we spent together in Munich.
Furthermore, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to meet a diverse group of classmates and professors at the Communication and Media Institute. Our shared interest in media and communication, combined with the fact that we were all here for an exchange semester, effortlessly fostered strong bonds among us. Despite not having spent a significant amount of time, I am genuinely delighted to have met each and every one of you. Lastly, I must mention that one of my favourite courses, “Professional Communication in Munich,” allowed me to visit numerous media-related locations, helping me shape the career path I aspire to pursue. Thank you!
I actually dislike Munich for one reason: my dormitory room is fully cursed by silverfish, a type of insect that would never disappear and has a disgusting appearance. If any of you would like to know how to get rid of them, I am more than willing to assist you. Once I depart, you may live in my room rent-free, dear silverfish.
Danke schön München, tschüss!!
