Excursions . MediaIn a recent interview conducted in the Media school of Bayern, Andre Wengenroth informed us about the tools given to students, preparing them for a professional future in media. He shed light on the opportunities provided by the school’s partnerships and networking, as well as the practical experience developed by students.

Giving students the right tools
With a radio, podcast and TV studio, the school prepares students to work with different media, exploring various work orientations as they are led to write articles and scripts for the different programs, animate and present shows as well as interviewing guests or create content for social media. Students can also develop more technical skills, such as lightning, camera and sound work or in post-production with editing.

Learning new skills and gaining autonomy
By creating the content by themselves, they gain a great autonomy in their field of interest, developing skills and creativity. The content they create is published and broadcasted to the public, meaning that they learn confidence by the trust the school puts in them, as well as a sense of doing something concrete and useful. Along with this very practical learning, they also have more theoretical courses to give them the material needed to become autonomous and skilled in their work.
Facilitating professional connections
During seminars, media professionals bring their experience and skills, allowing students to project themselves in the media industry by learning about different career paths, as well as expanding their network, giving them opportunities for future internships or jobs. This is also the case through the different partnerships and links the school has with media companies, to which students can turn after the end of their learning process.
As students join the school for free during a few days of the week, next to their studies or job, they are given the chance to experience the media industry, rather than the only theoretical content that is often provided by universities. For now, Andre Wengenroth is proud to tell us about the successful people who come from Mediaschool Bayern and seems very optimistic for the future of the current students.
