Visit to BR Funkhaus

Within the course Professional Communication in Munich the students did their second field trip to the broadcasting studios of Bayerischer Rundfunk. There, they got a tour through three of the eight radio studios of BR.

One of them was a really big studio which is also used as a concert hall for orchestras and other events such as the Puls Winterfestival. This took place on the weekend after our visit, so the students were able to see how everything is being prepared.

After that the students got to see a studio where Bayern 2 records radio plays. The tour guide showed all the sound tricks: from the acoustic snail to producing the sound of walking over snow without actually walking over snow.

The last stop of the tour were the studios of Bayern 3. There, the students got to get in touch with live radio and meet and watch the hosts during their show.
